SPEED SURVEY/ TRAFFIC REPORT FOR PLANNING

This survey is conducted using a CE Certified traffic collector which is

multi-lane bidirectional traffic data gathering device, designed to detect

all traffic movements in both directions and identifying small, medium, and

large vehicles. The unit gathers data relating to speed and number of

passes at a specific location, giving individual speeds and units and 

calculates the 85th percentile speed. While in operation the unit is GEO

tagged to its location. For the purpose of this survey, the CE Certified

traffic collector is installed and uninstalled by a trained operator at the

selected location
